Today I paid another visit to Camelon Cemetery, Falkirk. Dating from the 1870s, the oldest parts of the cemetery contain and impressive variety of headstones, typical of the late Victorian and early 20th Century. It was during today’s visit I learned of brothers Alexander and David Buchanan. Margaret (Peggy), Elizabeth, and Mary Campbell rest in Camelon Cemetery outside Falkirk. All succumbed to complications caused by Spanish influenza within the space of a fortnight, aged twenty-six, sixteen, and twenty-one consecutively.
